High School Mission Trip
Each summer our high school students, led by adult mentors, are encouraged to participate in our annual IMPACT Summer Mission Trip designed to make an impact on the lives of the needy by spreading compassion and justice where it is needed. It is open to all students who want to partner with God in the mission of bringing hope to people who desperately need it. Through the work of Jesus Christ, God has done something incredible in each of us. It is from that saving grace that God’s compassion flows out of us and directly into the lives of the people we serve; from the inside out.
Our student missionaries have opportunities to connect throughout the year as a team. There are many opportunities to procure financial aid through various fundraisers. The trip is led by a specially recruited team of adults who plan the logistics of the mission, and disciple students during the experience. These trips are life-changing for all who are involved and are among the most important aspects of the student ministry at Rejoice.
Past summer mission trips have included building homes in Mexico, serving the homeless in Philadelphia & Nashville, rebuilding homes devastated by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, working with a rebuilding ministry to repair and rebuild homes for low-income people – many elderly or disabled – in coastal North Carolina, and the Ozarks in Arkansas. One year we embarked on a spiritual life retreat in the mountains of Colorado. This year we travel to Gatlinburg, Tennessee June 11th-18th to perform disaster relief work from the devastating wildfires from last November – click here to learn more and download the registration packet.
