Mark 10: 17-27. In this story, a man comes to Jesus and asks “what must I do.” That’s the question we ask as it relates to faith, isn’t it? “What must we do.” Often times, we think of being faithful in terms of our actions. Faithfulness means going to church, tithing, reading the bible, praying regularly and keeping a sabbath. Faithfulness becomes a to-do list.
But is it really? What if faith is not what God wants from us, but what God wants for us. In this story we get a clear picture into what Jesus’ take on faith really is.
