  • Wednesday, February 24th- Your Story (how you fit into God's story)
  • Wednesday, March 24th - Our Story (how Christians a.k.a "the Church" fits into God's story)
  • Wednesday, April 14th - The Story (it all boils down to and revolves around 1 point)  Parents - please try to have at least one parent attend our final session on April 14th. We will be going over important details regarding Confirmation Interviews and what can be expected for Confirmation Sunday.

Confirmation Guidelines

  • You are required to attend a minimum of 3 of the 4 workshops.
  • You will need to submit "My Faith Story"
    • "My Faith Story" should be a one page (3 paragraph) testimony of how you came to know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and why you are choosing to be Confirmed this year. You can share details such as when Jesus became a reality to you, what Matrix has done to help your faith and what it means to you to be a "follower of Jesus." But, this is your faith story, so there are no rights or wrongs.
  • Confirmation rehearsal will be held at church at 9:00am on Saturday, May 1st. It is a requirement that you be present with one of your parents/ guardians.
  • Confirmation Sunday is May 2, 2010 at the 10:30 service.

Confirmation Interviews

You will be scheduled for a brief interview with Pastor Lou and Jake Fry to be held after school on weekdays in late April. A specific schedule will be released around Spring Break. If you cannot make the date you are scheduled for your Exit Interview it will be your responsibility to exchange dates with another person. A list of student's phone numbers will be provided when interviews are scheduled. You may not be Confirmed without attending an interview. You and one of your parents/guardians need to be present at the interview. Here are some examples of questions you can expect to be asked:

  • What has Matrix meant for you the past few years?
  • Why do you want to be Confirmed?
  • Are you prepared to say publically that you believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? When did this truth become part of your life?
  • If a friend at school asked you what it means to be a "Christian" what would you tell them?

If you have any further questions about Rejoice's Confirmation Program, please contact Jake Fry.
